Charles E. Stratton, DDS

As a dentist, I have the opportunity to help others improve their health every day. It is a joy to develop long-lasting relationships with my patients and to help them have a wonderful and relaxing dental experience.

Education and Continuing Education

My dental knowledge started with a great education. I graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry, and I have been keeping up with the latest methods and technologies since I started practicing dentistry in 1974. I am a strong believer in advanced education and cutting-edge technology. I regularly exceed twice the expectation of continuing education hours required by the State of California.

As part of my advanced training, I take courses in cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry, implant placement, the study of occlusion (the bite), bruxism (the grinding of teeth), and the study and treatment of gum disease. I know that the best treatments require the latest technology, which is why I use a dental laser, which only 1% of dentists in the world use. I also use a miniature intra-oral camera, so I can see a patient's teeth on a television monitor for more detailed diagnoses and consultations.

In the Practice

Since I began practicing dentistry, my primary goal has been to help my patients achieve their own optimal level of dental health. Although each patient has individual needs, everyone desires to be free of pain, look better, and chew better. As an office, we strive to build trust with each patient before starting any treatments or procedures. I want to ensure that every patient has their questions answered and that they feel totally comfortable at each appointment.

I am lucky to have such a talented team working with me to make my patients' lives easier. I have a team of highly trained individuals who are dedicated to creating a positive, family-friendly environment for our patients. Their dedication to our patients’ health and happiness is demonstrated through their professionalism, gentle care, attention to detail, and dental expertise.

Family Life

I love living in Napa and serving the people of our community. My wife, Nina, and I opened my practice together in 1981. She helps manage the office, heads the Britesmile Bleaching department, and is also a treatment coordinator. We have two children: one daughter and one son. Together, my family and I enjoy many wonderful activities, including sports and vacations.
